# HGV 1 Driver

Location: United Kingdom (onsite/depot-based)

## About the role
We are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver to join our fleet. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.

## Key responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV 1 (C+E) vehicles to transport goods
• Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Load and unload cargo, securing loads as required
• Plan routes efficiently and adhere to delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery records
• Assist with warehouse duties when required
• Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations
• Report any faults or incidents promptly to the supervisor

## Requirements

Valid UK HGV 1 (C+E) licence and up-to-date CPCMust be able to drive lorrysClean driving licence with no more than a few points (subject to review)Excellent knowledge of UK roads and regulationsGood organisational and time-management skillsPhysically capable of loading/unloading and handling documentation

## Desirable

Prior experience in a similar distribution or logistics roleKnowledge of manual handling procedures and warehouse practicesDigital tachograph familiarity
